Courage
Learning something new sometimes means taking a risk or working through something difficult. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves, name their fears, and ask for help when they need it.

At KIPP Antioch College Prep Elementary School, students begin building the academic skills, confidence, and learning habits that can support them throughout their education.
Located in South Nashville, KIPP Antioch College Prep Elementary (KACPE) is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in grades K–4. Our school combines rigorous instruction with a nurturing, joyful environment where students are encouraged to take on challenges, ask for help, work together, and keep growing.
KIPP Antioch College Prep Elementary opened in 2018 and serves approximately 620 students at our Murfreesboro Pike campus in Antioch. The school is located on the same property as KIPP Antioch College Prep Middle School, giving families the opportunity to explore a connected K–8 experience in South Nashville.
Our school community is built around the belief that students thrive when they understand what is expected of them, have the support they need, and know they are an important part of their school community.

The elementary years give students an opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills they’ll continue building on throughout middle school, high school, and beyond.
Across KIPP Nashville elementary schools, learning places a strong emphasis on foundational literacy and conceptual mathematics. Students also develop their knowledge across subjects while learning to communicate ideas, solve problems, ask questions, and become increasingly independent learners.
At KACPE, high expectations are paired with rigorous instruction and support. The goal is to help students make meaningful academic progress while developing confidence in their ability to learn.

Young students need an environment where they can take academic risks while knowing they have adults and classmates supporting them.
KACPE describes its community as Team and Family, reflecting the school’s emphasis on collaboration among students, educators, and families. The school works to create an environment that balances academic challenge with clear expectations, support, and joy.
That sense of community matters throughout the elementary years. Students are learning how to participate in a classroom, build relationships, communicate what they need, work through disagreements, and become increasingly responsible for themselves and their learning.
The goal is for students to know that they belong while also understanding that their effort and contributions matter.

Elementary school should give students opportunities to discover interests as well as build academic skills.
Across KIPP Nashville elementary schools, students can participate in enrichment opportunities such as arts, physical education, and mindfulness. These experiences give students additional ways to create, move, express themselves, and engage with their school community.
Specific programs can vary by campus and school year. Families interested in KACPE’s current enrichment offerings should ask about them when scheduling a campus tour.

Principal Brittnee Kennedy leads KACPE with an emphasis on creating a nurturing, challenging, and joyful school where students have both clear expectations and strong support.
Under her leadership, KACPE’s Team and Family work toward a shared goal of helping students develop the academic and personal skills they need to have choices available to them as they grow.

Families deserve current, school-specific information when evaluating their elementary school options.
For the 2024–25 school year, KIPP Antioch College Prep Elementary was recognized as a Tennessee Reward School, TVAAS Level 5 school, and A Rated School for student growth and achievement.
These recognitions provide one way to understand the school’s academic performance. Families can also consider what learning looks like inside the classroom, how students are supported, the school’s culture and expectations, enrichment opportunities, transportation, and whether the environment feels right for their child.

Choosing an elementary school also means thinking about what happens after fourth grade.
KIPP Antioch College Prep Elementary is located next to KIPP Antioch College Prep Middle School, which serves students in grades 5–8. The elementary school is at 3655 Murfreesboro Pike, while the middle school is next door at 3661 Murfreesboro Pike.
For KACPE families, this creates another KIPP option to explore as students prepare for the transition from elementary to middle school.
KIPP Nashville also operates high schools and provides a broader K–12 pathway. Students can build foundational knowledge in elementary school, develop greater independence in middle school, and eventually prepare for college, career, and other opportunities during high school.
Placement at another KIPP school is not automatic, so families should review current enrollment requirements as students approach each transition.
The right elementary school also needs to fit into your family’s everyday routine.
KIPP Antioch College Prep Elementary currently provides bus transportation within the KACPE transportation zone and offers before- and aftercare.
Because transportation routes, eligibility, care providers, schedules, and availability can change, families should confirm current options when considering enrollment for an upcoming school year.
A campus tour can help your family move beyond the facts on a website and get a better sense of what your child’s school day could actually feel like.
