Information We Collect
We collect information from you when you use our contact form, submit a donation, or submit enrollment information. When someone completes a form, the data is stored in the website database, and distributed to KIPP by email. It is stored as long as it is needed. You may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. In the case of donations, you will be directed to our third-party donation processing partner to input your credit card information. You may, however, visit our site freely without providing any of this information. When you visit the site, we automatically collect certain details about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, the websites or search terms referred you to the site, and information about how you interact with the site. We call this “device information.” Device information is anonymous and cannot be directly linked to individual users.
How We Use Your Information
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
- To personalize your experience or to improve our website.
- To process transactions.
- Communication, like sending electronic or physical mail to inform you about your donation, enrollment status, or other updates about KIPP Nashville.

How We Protect Your Information
This website is hosted on a secure (HTTPS) server, with an SSL certificate provided by Let’s Encrypt, via the hosting company Siteground. Siteground’s privacy settings are listed here. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted to protect your information. Donations are collected through a third-party site, Bloomerang. Bloomerang’s privacy settings are listed here.
Sharing your info
KIPP Nashville will not sell your personally identifiable information to third parties. We may share the information, including your comments, with third parties to further the mission and purposes of KIPP.
We use the Facebook Pixel and Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors us the site. You can read more about their data policies here: Facebook Data Policy, Google Data Policy. You may also opt out of Google Analytics here.
How long do we retain your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights do you have over your data?
If you have left comments or filled out an interest form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
