KIPP Schools Support Each Student to Pursue the Path of Their Highest Aspirations

KIPPsters set a high bar for their futures. For some, that means being the first in their family to graduate from college or buy a home. For others, it means serving our country or creating a business. So KIPP schools ensure each student has the skills and confidence to pursue any path that leads to their highest aspirations. Our counselors support students to choose and prepare for a right-fit college or education path and a meaningful career.

How KIPP Forward Works

Every child deserves an excellent education and the opportunity to be prepared for college and choose the best path forward toward an economically self-sufficient, choice-filled life and a rewarding career.

KIPP Forward supports KIPP high school students and alumni in developing the tools and knowledge needed to pursue the career of their highest aspiration and follow their dreams.

KIPP Forward Partnerships

At the national level, KIPP has created college partnerships with universities who commit to not only admitting KIPP students, but also providing critical resources once those students are on campus to ensure that the students remain on track for a college degree. Some current KIPP college partners include Vanderbilt University, Spelman College, Fisk University, Franklin and Marshall College, Colby College, and many more.

Student Voices

Shelby Fuller - KIPP Nashville Collegiate Class of 2018 Alumna and MTSU Class of 2022 graduate with a major in Animal Science

“The KIPP Forward team was very helpful during my college experience. I made the decision to transfer to MTSU in between my sophomore and junior year. My persistence advisor helped me make that decision and then walked through all the steps necessary to withdraw from the college I was attending at the time. My persistence advisor was almost like another college advisor, someone I could go to with questions or concerns at all times.”

Kiara Molina - KIPP Nashville Collegiate Class of 2018 Alumna and Vanderbilt University Class of 2022 graduate with a major in Human Organizational Development

“I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without KIPP Forward. In high school, they helped me think through and research all my options. They encouraged me to apply to Vanderbilt, a school that I originally thought was way out of reach. As a first generation college student, the process of applying to schools and securing financial aid was overwhelming, but KIPP Forward was there every step of the way. I had a difficult transition during my first semester of college, and my persistence advisor was there for me on every level. Truly, KIPP Forward is like family. They care about you on a personal level and want to make sure you are supported on an academic and social emotional level.”

“The impact that KIPP Forward has had on my daughter’s experience has been nothing short of amazing! Since the beginning, this team has dedicated their time, talent and resources to ensure that my daughter was equipped with all that she needed to be successful throughout this whole journey. KIPP Forward was one of the main reasons why we chose this school and I’m so glad that we did! My daughter now feels more confident and better prepared about her academic future because of this program. So grateful for all that it has offered and will continue to offer post graduation.”
