KIPP Academy Nashville (KAN) is a free, open-enrollment public charter school in the heart of East Nashville that offers a rigorous college preparatory program combined with character instruction that align with our core values:

KAN was a 2015 SCORE Prize Finalist, has been named a 2019 Tennessee Reward School for top 5% student growth in the state, and has been recognized by the Education Consumers Foundation for top K-8 student growth in Middle Tennessee. The school’s extracurricular activities include soccer, cross-country, track, step, and student council. In addition, KAN touts a world-class performance choir led by 2015 Harriett Ball Excellence in Teaching Award recipient, Marvis Moore.
In the 2017-2018 school year, KAN students achieved the highest year over year academic growth possible and ranked among the best public middle schools in the city. KAN also outperformed the district and the state in ELA, Math and Science in the end of the year TNReady exam.
