Another month of my senior year of high school has passed. I have finished submitting all of my college applications! This includes the one for Wake Forest University, which I had been procrastinating to complete for quite a while. To be honest, I was avoiding the Wake Forest application, because I felt like I would make a mistake on the writing portion, since I was worried about the rest of my applications.
But I realized, I have been too busy focusing on the negative possibilities that I was not thinking about my goals that I want to accomplish.
I started to think about all the things that I want to accomplish in life, and that was a big motivator and has been driving me forward these past few weeks.
Once I began to work on my application, I found that it was easier than I thought it would be.
I also filled out my FAFSA application this month. It sounded like it would be difficult, but it was very simple and self-explanatory. My father and I were able to get it done during the KIPP Through College FAFSA night at our school in less than an hour. I also submitted a job application so I can make some more money for my college expenses next year. Now, I am waiting to hear back from other schools I have applied to on their decision.
