Meet the KIPP Nashville College Prep team — our school leaders, teachers, and support staff.
At KIPP Nashville College Prep, we believe that every child has the opportunity to be a leader. Our team promotes a college-bound culture through intentional character building, including a course on leadership, strong academics, and a growing music program.

“There is nothing like teaching. I do this work each day knowing this is my purpose in life. Standing in front of leaders each day delivering content and giving advice to be successful in and out of the classroom warms my heart to know that I’m making a difference. I do this work with the goal of closing the achievement gap, because ethnicity or where you live shouldn’t determine whether you will become a college graduate. I have set the tone of influencing my student’s mindset to know, ‘You are stronger than your challenges and your challenges are making you stronger.’ KNCP allows me to teach in a school environment that values a sense of community and is centered around educating urban communities that are racially and culturally diverse.”

“I do this work each and every day, because this is my purpose. I get to speak truth into the lives of my students who have often been made to believe lies about themselves and their futures. I get to work with other awesome and passionate people to pursue our mutual goal of closing the achievement gap and fighting against educational inequity. Together we show our students how to use their voices in this world that so desperately needs to hear them. Through the teaching of literature, I get to help my students to see themselves as successful and important members of society. I do this work every day because I get to watch my students realize their worth and their potential and there is no better thing to see than that.”
