Senior Year – William

Another month of senior year has gone by and the stress about the end-of-quarter interim assessments has hit me hard. But, I have begun to see my work leading up to great success.

KIPP Nashville Collegiate High School senior, William.

I recently applied to UTK and Lipscomb University. I was very excited knowing that I had successfully submitted my first two college applications, but I slowly began stressing about whether I was accepted or not.

Just three days ago I got the news from a Lipscomb representative that I have been accepted to Lipscomb University!

This made me feel so proud of myself and my ability to achieve great success. The amount of joy that I felt is just indescribable.

After I got off the phone with the representative, I went to check my email inbox out of pure curiosity. To my surprise, I found a message from UTK. It read, “Congratulations, you’re a Vol.” As soon as I read this, my stomach was filled with butterflies. I did not know what to say because I was just completely surprised and in shock.

I opened the message and began reading it. “Congratulations on your admission to the University of Tennessee.”

This made me feel so happy that I did not know what to do.

I hope to have more messages and letters of admission from the rest of the colleges on my list as I continue to apply.
